Patty Bates-Ballard is Creative Director and Owner of WordSmooth, co-author of the book Navigating Diversity, and developer of the Socha workshop series. Previously the Diversity Director for the Greater Dallas Community Relations Commission, she has worked in the field of multi-cultural relations for over 20 years. Patty's "Socha" diversity + effectiveness workshop series helps school districts, corporations, governmental agencies and non-profits "Sow, Cultivate, and Harvest" their organizations' full potential. Patty received degrees in Psychology and Philosophy from Austin College.

The book by Patty Bates-Ballard and Gregory Smith: Navigating Diversity
"Very few people push me motivationally because usually I feel like I am already going full throttle. Thank you for being a leader in the gospel of diversity. You have helped me not only reach out to the urban communities but to the world through this book."
Rayvon L. Walker
"It’s wonderful working with Patty because she knows exactly how to put the words together to get the message across. She’s also so easy to work with – she’s very accessible and flexible, and making changes is never a problem. She helped us create a website and a marketing postcard and email that have increased our visibility and our business. We definitely will be using WordSmooth for our ongoing communications needs."
